Mohit Srivastava’s path as a comic artist showcases a blend of his roots in dark humor and a more thoughtful approach to storytelling. While he still enjoys works with a sharper edge, such as Super (2010), Kick-Ass (2010), and content from creators like @sirjoancornella and @explosmofficial, Mohit recognizes that his style has evolved over time.
He has learned to weave in lighter humor while staying true to his unique voice, crafting comics that connect with a broader audience.

As always, Mohit took the time to share his thoughts with us.
When asked about handling criticism and backlash, Mohit explained, “As a human, you can only learn so much about the diverse cultures around the world. Sometimes, my comics may raise concerns for others, and I appreciate when people share their perspectives on them. My approach is to understand and respect those views, making a mental note to avoid repeating any mistakes. At times, people can be offensive without reason, and for those, I try not to pay much attention. I truly believe that if you remain kind, patient, and respectful, haters can become admirers.”

Reflecting on humor as a storytelling tool, he shared, “I believe making someone smile is a superpower in itself. Humor allows people to forget their worries, even if just for a moment, and I think that’s not only a necessity in the 21st century but also a small service to the world. Humor helps people lower their guard and open up. If you’re trying to sell something, I’d recommend using humor to connect with your client or customer first, make them feel comfortable, and then introduce the business.”
