The illustrator behind Lingvistov opened up about her creative process revealing that having a ritual is an essential part of her routine. My therapist told me I needed a ritual to transition into a creative mindset she shared. I realized that scents are a powerful trigger for me. Now, brewing coffee is my go-to ritual it helps me get into the zone. She also discussed how she’s learned to pace herself I try not to overdo it. I now schedule one or two drawings per week rather than ten or fifteen like I used to. This way, I can enjoy the process avoid burnout and actually accomplish more. She also highlighted the importance of staying active and having a hobby. I’ve been swimming competitively for six years, and it helps me avoid getting trapped in a cycle of self-doubt and overthinking.

Lastly, Landysh shared some advice for aspiring artists looking to create their own comics. She believes that drawing from personal experience is essential as relatable content tends to resonate with people. That was probably the most surprising thing for me realizing that someone can see themselves in the comics I make she said. She also emphasized the importance of perseverance adding Success doesn’t happen overnight it takes hard work and time. The key is to never stop.
