As Anton explained, I studied and graduated with a degree in engineering focusing on mathematics. I found my work as an engineer unfulfilling and felt the need for something more. This dissatisfaction led him to reconnect with his childhood hobbies now approached with a more mature perspective, which he applies to his comics to make them both relatable and thought-provoking.

We were curious about how Anton’s approach to comedy in his illustrations has evolved over time. He explained In the beginning, I focused on telling jokes classic comics with dialogue and puns. Then, the jokes grew more absurd and the dialogue started to disappear. I found myself enjoying comics that focused on objects, without any characters in the frame. As time went on humor started to fade from some of my work but it never fully disappeared.

Anton reflected, It’s odd that some artists don’t include humor in their work, because humor is such a big part of creativity. Life isn’t just serious and dark it’s funny at times, though often it’s a mix of both tragedy and comedy. He went on to say that his focus gradually shifted to exploring the unexpected qualities of objects and events. “Lately, I’ve been interested in expanding beyond just digital drawings and trying out other forms like video sculpture or street art Anton explained.
