This time, we were curious about how she approaches character design and how it aligns with the tone of her comics. Anezka explained Every idea deserves its own unique character design to communicate the message as effectively as possible. Even small details, like hair color, can impact the overall outcome. I try to strike a balance between the concept of the comic and the aesthetic color composition to ensure everything works together harmoniously. Her thoughtful approach to character design adds a special touch to her work making each comic strip a memorable experience for her readers.

When asked about the artists who inspire her Czech cartoonist Anežka Židkova named Charles Schulz, the legendary creator of the Peanuts comic strip series as her top influence. He’s my number one inspiration she explained. The incredible volume of work he produced in his lifetime keeps me motivated to continue. His approach is amazing because while his comics are for the general public they also have underlying philosophical themes. His humor and legacy still resonate today and I strive to achieve even a fraction of his greatness. In addition to Schulz Anežka enjoys the unique humor of Adult Swim and is drawn to a variety of comedic styles showcasing her wide-ranging artistic influences.
