We had the opportunity to catch up with Linnéa Aasa the talented cartoonist behind the popular Tardaasa Comics. Known for her sharp humor and relatable take on everyday life Linnéa shared some insights into her creative process and inspiration. She revealed that much of her comic inspiration comes from unexpected moments. These days, I make comics sporadically and I don’t force ideas so inspiration tends to strike when I least expect it, she explained. This free-flowing approach allows her to capture the most authentic and genuine moments.
One comic that particularly stood out came from a seemingly simple experience. I was sitting on the sofa with a man and when I put my arm around him he rested his head on my chest. In that moment, I felt like a boss Linnéa translated this feeling into a comic and to her surprise it became one of her most popular works. I was amazed by how many people could relate to that feeling she shared. It’s moments like that when I feel the strongest connection with my audience. Linnéa’s comics are not just about humor they also reflect her deep curiosity about human emotions and experiences. Through her work she’s able to spark moments of recognition and shared laughter something she values deeply. I love hearing when people say Oh that’s totally me. It reminds me of how universal our experiences can be.

Linnéa Aasa, the creative mind behind Tardaasa Comics, has always been candid about drawing inspiration from her personal life though she admits there was one comic that initially felt too personal to share. I’m an oversharer to the bone Linnéa said with a smile noting that she typically has no qualms about using her life as material for her art. However, there was one comic that made her hesitate. I didn’t post that comic right away maybe I did and then deleted it a couple of days later Linnéa recalled laughing. Honestly, I can’t remember. It was about ten years ago. Despite her usual openness this particular comic left her feeling a little uncertain about whether it was something she wanted to share with her audience.
As time has passed, Linnéa finds herself more mindful of how her comics might be interpreted particularly by those closest to her. These days, I sometimes worry about how people around me will feel about certain comics, she admitted. I wonder if they’ll recognize themselves in the comic or think it’s about them. It’s not always the most flattering, haha.Even so, Linnéa remains committed to creating work that reflects her experiences both humorous and sometimes uncomfortable. Her willingness to dive into personal territory has made Tardaasa Comics resonate with readers connecting through shared moments of awkwardness humor and truth.

Linnéa Aasa, the creative force behind Tardaasa Comics recently opened up about her experiences with fan interactions and surprising messages. When asked if she remembered any particularly unusual or memorable fan responses to her work Linnéa admitted that while there have been plenty her memory doesn’t always serve her well. Unfortunately, I can’t recall any specific ones she said with a laugh. But when people DM me, I can always see the history of our conversations even if it’s from years ago. If something stood out, I usually remember it.
She added My memory is really bad, to be honest. It can be a little depressing but I take it as a sign to focus more on living in the present. Despite the occasional memory lapse Linnéa does have a soft spot for the times when fellow comic artists whom she admires reached out to her for the first time. I always remember when comic artists I look up to contact me she shared. It’s a moment that sticks with me. This just goes to show that while some moments may fade, the connections between artists and their fans and fellow creatives are what truly leave a lasting impression.
