During his travels, he visited pristine, paradise-like locations, only to witness the devastating effects of pollution and human activity on these once-beautiful places. This eye-opening experience motivated him to use his art to address environmental concerns in a unique way.
I wanted to use my art to raise awareness about ecology by incorporating pop culture characters Baptiste shared. The idea was to make the issue hit harder. When you see a polar bear suffering from climate change it’s heartbreaking, but if you see a beloved character enduring the same fate it taps into your childhood and evokes a much stronger emotional response. By combining familiar pop culture icons with pressing environmental themes, Baptiste’s work creates a bridge between entertainment and advocacy. His art not only entertains but also encourages viewers to think critically about the environmental impact we all have, leaving a lasting impression and sparking a desire for change.
