Alvin explained how humor plays a role in addressing serious topics in his comics. I believe it’s important to bring a light-hearted approach when discussing heavy subjects. For me, it helps reduce the tension and creates a more open space for honest exchanges of ideas.

Alvin expressed that he feels a personal connection to all of his comics as they capture his emotions at the time. One comic that really stands out to me is about my dog who went missing a few years ago. We never found him, and drawing that comic helped me cope with the grief he shared.

As a fun twist, we asked Alvin what message he would include in a comic strip for a time capsule for future generations. I’d probably create a comic about dealing with personal challenges to show that regardless of the era everyone faces unresolved issues, he said.
