Human beings, like life, are full with contradictions. Everyone has an opinion, and the majority of them differ from that of others. Most individuals, however, are unaware of the contradictions and even reject them. The exception is artist Anton Gudim. Meet with him today. Anton Gudim is a Moscow-based illustrator best known for his “YES, BUT” comic series. The title of the webcomic is accurate. “YES, BUT” illustrates the same issue from two different points of view, and the comics accurately highlight how two-faced our society can be. Not everyone will agree with Anton’s points of view, but shouldn’t we all have diverse ideas on everyday issues? When you zoom out on something, you become aware of life’s inconsistencies.
His Instagram account currently has 691,000 followers. When asked how “YES, BUT” came to be, the author claims that the concepts just occurred to him. Even if the artist displays a lot of truth, the “YES, BUT” section contains a small amount of fun. Additionally, Anton expresses his opinions with just two panels and no words other than “Yes” and “But.” That is what makes it easier for people to understand the purpose behind his comics.
